Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified surely sounds comforting, what does it truly mean?
NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the industry are required to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without being NATE-Certified.
It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.
Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in one or more of these areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
