Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why is my hot water heater running out so fast?
If you notice your supply of hot water isn’t lasting as long as it should, it could be a problem with your tank water heater. The heating element could be too dirty from grime or mineral buildup.
-
My toilet won't stop running. Why?
A toilet that’s running constantly could be dealing with several different problems, including a broken flapper seal, flush valve or flapper chain. In some cases it’s the handle itself that’s been damaged and separated from the chain. A running toilet wastes a lot of water, so don’t hesitate to contact our plumbers at 856-310-4824.
-
Why is my dishwasher's drainage not working?
One of the most common reasons your dishwasher isn’t draining properly is because the drain line is clogged. The line, sometimes referred to as a drain hose, removes water from the dishwasher tub at the end of a cycle. If the drain line is clogged, water may not be able to flow properly. Contact our certified plumbers for troubleshooting and repairs.

What should I do if a pipe bursts?
A prompt response is important if you’re dealing with a burst pipe because it froze. Expert plumbers are better equipped to resolve burst pipe repairs, but there are several things you can do without help to keep the pipes from freezing in the first place:
Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to enable warmer air to circulate around the plumbing. Be sure to move any harmful cleaners and household chemicals up out of the reach of children.
Let the cold water drip from faucets served by exposed pipes. Running water through the pipe—even at a trickle—helps prevent ice from forming and freezing.
Minimize changes to the thermostat and keep your home at least 50 degrees, even when you’re not home.

Why does my garbage disposal smell?
Dump food scraps right away with cold water and leave the disposal on for about 30 seconds to minimize the risk of clogs. Everyone should also never put coffee grounds, eggshells, potato peels and other large food waste into the disposal, because they may restrict drainage and cause damage and bad smells.
